Too many broodies

Its hot here in the Midwest. But do you think that would deter my chickens from going broody? NO. I have 5 setting on eggs right now. I also have a few that have gone into molt from the stress of the heat. Before long I probably will have to buy store eggs

My daughter says its because she is helping with the chickens in the evening when I have to work. She is pregnant and says her baby hormones are rubbing off on them

I really wish this would stop. We have already hatched out 25 earlier this spring. I am going to be up to my ears in chickies.

maybe lend out broody services to others that want eggs hatched? I wish I could have found someone with that service for the eggs I have in an incubator.

I've had three go broody on me this summer. Not normal here!
