Too many eggs

To reduce feed costs you can hard boil them and feed them back to the birds. thats what we do.

How many chickens do you have? I want enough chickens to have too many eggs. Lol. I have the opposite issue. We have run out of store eggs, and I only have 8 fresh eggs. The most I can get in one day is 3..and the most I could eat in one day is probably like 10..so...there is an issue. Lol.

You can still sell eggs, just have one or two customers. It's a great way to get started, sell a dozen or two a week. You don't have to be a big producer to sell eggs.

Or give them away, everyone likes eggs. I like to take them to church, the older folks love getting fresh eggs again!

You can freeze eggs. You have to break them out of the shell and put them either in small zip log baggies or small containers and use them for baking later on. I can get you the exact information, I think I found it in Poultry magazine.

You can scramble multipe eggs for freezing. To use later, 3 tbs. of frozen beaten eggs equals 1 whole egg. This info was in the Oct/Nov. 2012 issue of Backyard Poultry magazine. Frozen eggs are good for up to one year. Good luck!

You can also freeze the eggs for times when you are not so lucky and the hens stop laying - like during a molt.

I freeze mine in ice trays. Spray the trays with cooking spray.

Just take a nice big bowl that has a spout on it, whisk up a couple dozen eggs very
well and pour them carefully into the ice trays making sure you don't overfill each one as they will be difficult
to pop out after frozen.

It takes two thawed out egg cubes to equal one large egg in recipes. They don't taste very good scrambled
but work well in baking recipes.

Quiche, 12 egg pound cake, custard pie and coconut custard pie, give extras to neighbors, friends, food banks, etc.
as has already been suggested.

That is very interesting
