Too many males

I understand. We put loads of extra vents in and got rhe largest one we could find. It's for them when the nights are cold. They seem happy and I put toys, tunnel and sand bath in there

I've heard that about roosters, but haven't experienced that problem myself. I currently have 4 roosters in with my 23 hens. 2 roosters are brothers and have always been together, one rooster I ended up getting from a neighbor who rescued it from some dogs trying to kill it. I put him in with everyone else, and for the first few days he pretty much kept to himself while outside in their run, but slept amongst them in the coop at night, now he's just a member of the flock, and the 4th one was from a purchase of 10 "pullets". He is now the Alpha, due to the fact that the 2 brothers are old and don't get around to well. None of my rooster have been aggressive towards one another or me. Of course, I might just be lucky.

Chickens are different than quail behaviorwise
