Too many roosters

We have had both bantam and standard roosters for decades, and no issues that couldn't be managed. As in, selecting cockerels who could get along with everyone, and being ready to remove cockerels or roosters who caused problems. There's a difference between a peck or two when sorting out 'who's on first', and continued actual battles. Our flock was inside for months this year because of AI, with four roosters, and zero injuries. Now that they are outside during the day, each has a group of ladies, and go in different directions so they aren't in each others' way.

I’m glad you’re trying to find him a home. Do you have a way to separate him until then? What if you don’t have any takers? Can you give him a few hens and put them in a separate coop?

If you really would rather “let nature take its course”, it would be less cruel to just leave him outside the coop, unprotected. He’d likely get eaten by a predator, but it would be quick and he wouldn’t suffer as long as he could from fighting with another rooster. However you choose to cull him from the flock, I wish you the best.

I've had this problem before. Usually having only one rooster per flock is the best choice for the well-being of the hens. Multiple roosters might mate and attack the hens more than one would, or would go after eachother. Probably keep one of the nicer ones that can still protect the hens and re-home or cull the others.

I think the "culling=killing" debate going on is silly. Some people use it to mean killing, some use it to mean simply removal of the bird from the flock. Either way, the OP has said she's going to rehome one of the roosters, so hopefully thus can be an "agree to disagree" situation and not a "I'm right and you're stupid" one, lol.
