I have over twenty chicks and have to down size within the next week. I've picked out 7 that I'm certain are pullets, I have at least 7 that are obvious cockrells.
These I'm on the fence about. (I know, just hit my with a post...I'm so optomistic!)
Are these combs (&wattles) too large and pink at 8 weeks to be pullets?
1. Shy, but has a pretty good size light pink comb.
2. Has a pink comb but is small and delicate in comparison to the other chicks.
3. The red one. Had early comb and wattel development but no sparring and hasn't had any changes in comb for a couple of weeks. ( I love the red and blue color on this one.)
4. Like 3, this one had color early on but is very delicate looking and shy with no sparring.
