Too Much Food?

I had the same problem recently, and found a mouse in the coop...the mouse isn't a problem anymore

Mice, rats, squirrel's, birds, all kinds of things like chicken food.... you have some very healthy and well fed critters around your place other then your chickens if that much feed disappeared in a week!

You are feeding every animal in the neighborhood! Wow, I have 11 chickens and it takes me maybe a month or more to go through 50 lbs. And I know those rotten wild birds are stealing it too because I see them when I throw any outside (I throw the crumbs outside when I refill my feeder). My wastage went down when I moved the food into the coop to keep it away from those evil squirrels, but, even with the evils, that's a LOT of food.

When I forget to bring their food inside at night, the chipmunks, squirrels and raccoons all finish it off...they do the same with my birdfeeders if I let them.

Well, one of the squirrels sat on my grill, chewed a hole in my kitchen screen and ate my last english muffin. They will be in season in a couple weeks, so I will be out with the pellet rifle getting my muffin and chicken feed back.
