I'm just reading through Holderreads book of geese and spotted a line on pg. 106 - Grit and Calcium which mentions that they can over indulge on it which can cause problems? I haven't got my goslings yet but i'd be grateful if anyone with more experience can expand on this comment just so I can understand when I finally do have them.

I'm sure it can and does happen when they are young. They haven't quite distinguished what is food and what is not yet. If they are too full of grit and shell, they don't have room for their balanced feed.
I like to sprinkle just a little of the chick grit in and around their water so that when they are playing in it 😒 they pick up pieces to help with digestion.
When offered in a separate container they usually just dump it and ignore it.

A few bits in their water huh? That sounds like a good idea. I guess my plan was just to watch them closely and see how they did
