I had some chicks hatch a few days ago, their had a really difficult time getting out of the shell. When they peeped some white stuff stared oozing out of the egg. The white oozy stuff was actually rock hard. I do not have a hydrometer in my incubator so I am not exactly sure of the humidity. I helped the chicks out of the eggs, and the chick was covered in this stuff and it could not really move. I have some eggs doing this today. Is there anything that I can do to help them get out and get clean? Does this sound like to much humidity? I will be getting a hydrometer next time we hatch eggs!
