I placed a 'night light' inside our 4'x4' duck house for our ducks to be able to move around easier at night. I was wondering if a 7.5 watt light bulb will put off too much light? I know that if you subject ducks to a lot of light(all the time) that they will mature, grow, and lay faster. I just don't want to push them too much, I guess. Opinions? Thoughts?

If it uses a frosted bulb and has a cover, it shouldn't be that bad. You can also try an led night light. It doesn't give of heat like the normal bulbs do. You can pick them up at a dollar store......

It is a frosted bulb inside a frosted globe cover. I wired up a small globe light fixture for them. When I went to the hardware store last night I saw that they did have LED lights for standard fixtures.....but they were kinda pricey. I guess I could always switch it to a receptacle for a night light...

I just use 60watt household bulbs and that works great for mine, but I turn the light off int he summer time when the days are really long.
Whit the lights, I get eggs all year
