This is a hypothetical situation: Say an egg had been shaken up too much for it to ever grow. How would you be able to tell? Or would you be able to tell at all? Is there something to look for if you try candling it?

...Okay, this question isn't completely hypothetical. I ordered eggs that haven't arrived yet. But when they do come, I want to be able to tell if they were scrambled during shipping.

Any info at all on this subject would be welcomed.

Best way to tell if they've been scrambled is to incubate for 10 days and then candle.

Right, I would've done that either way. Know of a way to tell right away?

...Thanks for the speedy reply!

I just ordered eggs too! I hear the membrane can separate from the egg and the air cell will move around. But it seems like these can still hatch...probably just not as well, lower %...I'm gonna set anything I get in the box that isn't broken! Oh and keep my fingers crossed
