Too soon for gender?

Quick question before I decide to post pics...my chicks are a few days shy of 6 weeks. Is that too soon for gender as far as feathers go? I already have one that I posted for breed ID a couple weeks back that everyone noticed (but me ) was a cockerel. Was that just by chance that his feathers were already indicator or should they all start showing?

Certain breeds have colour differences between males and females which can be seen by 6 weeks, but for most breeds the sex specific differences show up around 4 months when the cockerels get pointy hackles and sickle feathers and longer tail feathers. However by six weeks, most breeds can be sexed by comb and wattle growth and colour. If you post pics, it's likely we can tell the boys from the girls.

Can you get a comb shot of the chantecler? I'm suspicious based on the development/feathering relative to age that is shown, face shot will help.
Looks like a lovely lot of pullets. Partridge bird is definitely a pullet, cockerels feather in very differently.
I think you are misjudging the polish...can we see a straight on shot to better see the crest shape?

Interesting you mention Chantecler bc thats the one Ive had to babysit out the box. Developed much slower than rest with a few issues here and there. Id be thrilled if Polish is hen...but it’d be one mean lady bc it dominates the crew lol! I tried for head on but Polish wasnt habing it lmao!
