Took a few outside today

Rachel, LOVE the video

So cute! I took all of mine outside today, I had to clean the brooder

So they spent like 2.5 hours outside. We had to bring them in because of rain too. I was watching them when a small, rather loud plane flew over. It was so neat to watch them all get completely still and silent until it had gone away. They had a wonderful time- ate more bugs and grit, got in some dust bathing, and played chicken keep-away with weird things like little bits of leaves

It's hilarious that they don't want anyone else to have what they have, but they go running through everyone cheeping about it. Saw some chest bumping too, which is amusing to me when they are so small! Now they are in their brooder, digging through the pine shavings looking for the dirt and stuff.

Thanks, AK! It's so much fun watching these guys grow and learn. I just didn't realize how fast that would be! I'm too afraid to put them outside without a fence around them. They still act like they're terrified of me most of the time, so I'm afraid they'd take off, and we don't have a fenced yard.

I love watching them play keep away! Next time I'll have to be sure to get a bid of that!

There was a little sweat bee buzzing around the outside if the ex pen, and there were at least a dozen pairs of eyes on that bug. I was just hoping it would get low enough for them to nab, but no luck.

I was really surprised at what little couch potatoes the silkies were. The other chicks ran and bumped and flapped, and they just laid there napping or wallowing.
