Top 2 egg producer breeds

I don't have any statistics, but I expect it would be another of the commercial egg layer types.

Perhaps California Whites, production line sexlink brown-layers, or the best-selected Production Reds.

Noting that there are two kinds of sexlink layers -- the production-line birds that are used in the commercial brown egg industry and the backyard types that the hatcheries breed for the backyard flock market.

Sex links. They'll lay extra large to jumbo eggs nine to twelve days in a row then take a day off then lay every day for another ten or so days. Of course I had a hatchery stock barred rock that did the same except with medium eggs.

Many hybrids are the best producers usually but yes for actual breeds, Leghorn would be number1 and Rhode Island Red number2.
I've had many breeds that prolifically kicked out eggs nearly daily.
Among them were mostly Mediterranean breeds. They would be (in addition to Leghorn) Ancona, Minorca and Penedesenca. Add to that the Norwegian bird, Jaerhon.
