This may be a stupid question but what exactly is sexlink? Is it a cross? Im confused with that term.

A sexlink is a cross I think it's a rir and a barred rock not sure tho . But they call them sex links cause at hatch you can tell which one's are male's and which one's are females. The females have a white spot on their head and the males' do not , if I remember right. I have all kinds and I will say my rir's lay everday and so do my silver laced wyondott's but my barred rocks do also so I don't know which one's you fancy but all these are good egg layers although I will say my rir's egg's are not as big as my wyondott's eggs. I have an easter egger and she lay's four day's out of the week but she is eight yr's old too. I also have a anocona and she lays a very small white egg but she just started laying . She is kinda like a leghorn but she isn't as friendly as the other breeds. I guess it's just what you want cause their is alot of good egglayers out their that are really nice breeds .

Yes for waterfowl runners are great egg producers. Runners can be quite skittish though. If you want an amazing producer for duck eggs that is also friendly and docile get Khaki Campbells. They will not disappoint!

Wht about the bantam breeds? I like wyandottes and they seem to be good egg producers. What cool colors do they have? What colors can you breed together with the wyandottes?

My plymouth white rocks lay a nice big brown egg and lay almost everyday, even in winter. They also are a very docile and tame bird. They are some of my favorites.
