Top of Run..Hardware Cloth or Other??

Thanks for all of the great reply's. We live in Michigan so snow will be a factor. I assume our list of enemies will be coyote's, opossum, fox, hawks, eagles & raccoons. I was hoping to put something other than hardware cloth on the top of the run but I want to maintain the best possible security. My husband is building this coop to humor me and is not enjoying the process as much as I am. Thanks again for the ideas and advice.

Hi Navychick...old post I realize, but I'm starting to build my coop in MI...wondering if you ended up using hardware cloth, and how it held up under the snow? What did you support it with? Thanks!
