1. The early bird gets the worm.
2. Keep your eyes on the sky, others like to attack from above.
3. Even when you're free-ranging, there's no place like home.
4. Often times, being patient and "broody" is rewarded.
5. If all else fails, hide.
6. Listen to what others have to say.
7. If you can't find a gourmet meal, make something from scratch.
8. Cross your bridges when you get there.
9. Accept your place in the pecking order.
10. Even when you're grown, there's nothing like snuggling up to mom after a hard day.

11. Happiness is having a house chook.

12. That these little birds can really bring a family closer together...this hobby has been great for me and my son and incredibly has been a catalyst for my wife and I getting our marriage back on track since this has been something we can enjoy together. We spend most evenings for at least a part ( now that its getting colder out, although in the summer we were out there all evening) sitting and watching our birds. We both really get a kick out of collecting the eggs, although we let William do that most days.

15. Good counsel from a chicken is the best therapy!! Just listen to the funny sounds they make when you talk to them and I dare you not to feel more light hearted and just try not to smile --no way possible!!
