These three Polish Tophats came from the same hatch of eggs. The white & caramel one we know is a roo. He's been crowing for a week now and yesterday tried to cover one of the laying hens -- at nine weeks old -- so he's got his mojo on.
The little dilute brown is almost certainly a pullet, I think. But the black&silver&rust&gold with the very wild head (in both pfoof and palette) is uncertain. So far, no crowing, no roo-ish behaviors.
Any guesses on the one with the truly wild dark tophat? It's rounder than our roo's, and like the little brown one, it comes farther forward so that we can hardly see eyes.
