Hello,
My 5 week old chick, Topples (on left, yellow), even after placing braces on her legs for splayed legs, she still topples over and fights to get upright. She feeds and drinks fine. She is learning to perch and flutter and run with the rest of the flock. She seems to be lopsided and that one side of her body doesn't respond (like a stroke patient). Should I be looking for something more?
PS have a video but unable to upload.

I'll try to get a video link and post it tomorrow. It was only one leg that was splayed out. She couldn't walk before I put the splint on. She had it on at 4 weeks old for a little over 24 hours. I went to change them and see how she did, once I put the splint back on, she rolled over and stuck her feet in the air and wouldn't move after about an hour I took it off and she went about eating and drinking.

Process of elimination... I have her in a sling as of today as when I hold her weight up for her she calms right down and typically falls asleep. Now that I can see her legs and feet, I see that her left leg she doesn't bare weight on it. If I place my fingers under her tows, she stands solely with her right side. Question, do her feet need to touch the floor? How long do I keep her in it? How do I complete physical therapy with her? She was not happy with going in the sling, was a bit of a battle to get her in it, is there a better method to not stress them out? She is the smallest of the flock and is growing the slowest. What kind of photo should I take so that you can see the concern better. I am all too new to this and just want to ensure I am not doing more harm.

I don’t know. You have to upload the vid to YouTube and then put the link here. How long were the splints on?
