Hello, woke to find blood all over the coop, had a small meltdown, and found my poor Tulin appears to have torn off a toenail. She is a white bird and a bloody mess. I have 2 runs so she is in the smaller one by herself for now while I figure out my next actions. The bleeding appears to have stopped. She is favoring that foot and limping, but still walking. Should I bathe her to get rid of the blood all over her feathers? Steps to best care for her foot? Prefer anything that could be picked up at Walmart or similar since I don't know if I can get to farm supply today. Thank you!!!

You can get some Neosporin and put on it, but you have to make sure the Neosporin is has no pain reliever.

If they cut you still a little bit open, you can put veterycin but I think that's you would have to order it or go to a different store like tractor supply.
Thank you for the reply. I will go get neosporin with no pain reliever today. I did give her a quick soak and scrub to get the blood off of her feathers and clean her toe up. It looks like it was broken very close to the foot so probably just bled a lot. For now it is just covered in some coban wrap since I had some. Probably best to get some of that veterycin in the coming days as well to have on hand as well, so I will do that.
