Can't argue. I've had great luck in the past though, so decisions have been pending. 21 weeks, no issues till now. But here it is.

No I have 3. He crowed for the first time today. I was right there, sure didn't look like much, no one has spurs yet. I'm afraid maybe the Brahma bit him.

Cut it off, stop any bleeding, isolate him until it heals completely. It won't take long, chickens tend to heal very quickly.

Agreed....it will be relatively quick and easy to remove the damaged portion and healing of these tissues is amazingly quick.

I think I could do it. Owed her a call anyway though and she likes odd ball things.

I will say, wow did that ever bleed! She had a nice sharp blade of course, better than I would have, still splattered pretty good. Used Quik Stop cotton type thing to make it stop.

She's really great. Not a poultry expert but willing. Been a client since I was a child with my first pony. Not sure where the age gap went, we seem the same age now.

They really don't like even in coop separation do they? He's frantic to get out of the brooder. Hopefully he'll relax once it's dark.
