Two consecutive tornadoes ripped through Tuscaloosa County. one on Tuesday evening and another last evening (Wednesday). The death toll is at 44 at the moment but expected to rise. Over 400 injured and scores of homes and businesses have been obiterated.

Please say a prayer for those affected.

Thank you.

Prayers and I am glad you are safe.

Phone calls are being made to members of the ASBC to check on their welfare and ask if there is any help they could use. Many in that area are without power or no cell service. Actually along that entire swath of the super cell that moved in to N. GA. If you know anyone in those areas and can not reach them maybe some could make an attempt to get to them to check on their welfare.

kristyhall also lives in the area that has been hit, I saw on another post. I am praying that everyone is okay. I hope they post as soon as they can.

It's just awful. They have called in the National Guard to help with search and rescue. One of the water plants is badly damaged and the Environmental Services that collect trash and debris is totally out of commission.

So many have lost family, their homes and many have no resources.

I am trying to figure out how to get to the Volunteer Services location, but it is on the other side of town and most of the roads in that area are closed.
