Well, this lovely weather has thrown another doozy at us... While driving home from work tonight, DH and I drove into a severe storm cell. Before we knew it, the truck was being pelted with golf ball to cue ball (for playing pool) size hail. Then the wind came. We were sitting along side the road under a tree to try and hide from the hail, and all of a sudden the truck started to shake, and the front end of the truck moved

It was so loud you couldn't hear yourself think. Thank goodness DH thought fast and he quick drove away from the storm, towards clearer skies. We got out of the mess unharmed, accept for the truck which now has dimples all over the place

Yeah well, small price to pay! I'm just glad it didn't go through our farm (we were only 10 minutes from home) - I was terrified for my horses & other animals outside! Luckily the farm only got hit with storms and torrential down pours.

We had one of those up here years back... That was worse than the storms (at least for me it was!!)

Hurricanes are not something I would want to deal with! This type of weather is pretty uncommon for us, so I think I'll stick with PA

Yep, if I could I'd move to P.A. in a heart beat. I'm originally from south jersey. I really hate hurricanes. In "04 we went thru 4 of them not fun. Lost power for a week in one or two kinda hard to remember now it was a blur.

Glad you are OK!!! We haven't gotten hit here yet except for some rumbles, and I haven't checked the news to make sure they are over yet, but I'm hoping we are spared the worst of it.

Glad you are OK! Those storms can go somewhere else for next weekend! Don't want to mess up Chickenstock!!!
