Tornado's

Genesee County seems to get a fair share for some reason

Seems odd as Genesee county is pretty hilly. I drove through a tornado in the Flint area in early June '98. A High school buddy and I took a road trip up to Paradise and we left after I got out of work at 8pm. It was pitch black, strong winds, rain coming down in buckets, I couldn't see, I knew there was a semi to the right of me and I just crept along slowly, praying that we'd be safe ... meanwhile hs buddy is gripping onto my right arm screaming "WE'RE GONNA DIE!!!!"

We're good here but my cousins family the next town over took a hit. They now live in a trailer/silo. It knocked the silo into the bedrooms of the trailer Sunday night right about dark. Thank GOD the kids were not in their rooms. Everybody got out soaked and covered in insulation, but alive and quite a bit shook up. Today we had another go right over the top of our head and hit just East of where we live. Too close for comfort for sure. I have a humongus family, and most of us live within these two counties. Everybody was blowing up my phone for 2 hours...it was scary!!! Rebelscowboysnob....looks like the beast that came this way earlier today, good pics..if you can call that monster good anyway

Glad everyone seems to be safe. I don't get news...hope there were NO fatalities!!!

Hope everyone is ok too! I work for a restoration and emergency services company, several tornado touch downs and buildings destroyed and damaged. No serious injuries thank God! We were slammed all day with calls though! Storm was said to reach from upper Wisconsin and reach as far south as Arkansas at around 10am.

Just watches here but the two counties adjoining us were under warnings. I sure hope no one was injured in Chattanooga today. Or anywhere for that matter.

yeah it looked pretty ugly on radar, I had to watch it all day for work. We faired pretty well in Ann Arbor.. the storm kinda split off and went around us.

We got nothing but high winds and a little rain, nothing major! Plenty of obstacle courses (garbage cans) down the streets all over the city for cars to duck. Some constructions signs going down and drivers going fast into them but the cops got them LOL!

I do hope you are all safe. I will stay right here in CT and deal with hurricanes and blizzards any day of the week. Tornado's and earthquakes scare the life out of me.
