Well, it had been 2 days and all the eggs had hatched that we thought were gonna hatch, well, we thought. I called my bf and told him to take all the eggs that were left in the incubator/hatcher and put them in a ziploc bag and to clean it out cause we had more eggs going in lockdown last night. Well, when I got home I asked where the eggs were so I could see which ones didn't hatch and I noticed one had a pip. I asked him did it look like this when you took it out and he said no. So I pulled the egg shell back a little and noticed it was moving. I rushed inside and put it back in the incubator. Then I got a wet sponge and some wet paper towels and put them in the incubator to try to get the humidity back up. I gotthe humidity up to about 80% and then i went in and started trying to zip the egg. The poor little chick was barely alive. I pulled a little shell back and then I let it rest in the incubator to get the humidity and temp back up. Then 15-30 mins later I went in and pulled more shell back. Then I put it back in the incubator to warm back up. Then the last time I went in, I pulled the top half of the shell off. The chick was still in the membrane that was quickly drying out and in the bottom half of the shell. I put it back in so it could try to make it out on its own. Well, it was still having a hard time so after about 15 more minutes, I pulled the rest of the shell off. It was finally free from the egg. It was so exhausted, I could tell. It just layed there like it was dead. I decided that if the little chickie didn't make it through the night then it must not have been meant to be but if it did, we were gonna keep this one and not sell it. Well this morning I got up and looking in the incubator and the little chickie was all poofed out looking as cute as can be. I was so excited that my little miracle chick had made it through the night. I don't think all of it's yolk had absorbed yet so I decided to leave it in there until I get home from work today. I just can't believe the little bugger made it. I will take pictures and post them when I get home today of my little chickie.
