If a bear wants to get the chickens, nothing you have there will prevent it. Out here, they rip doors off of cars to get at food inside. Perhaps a completely enclosed run of chain link with a solid roof, with the coop inside that. Maybe look into an electrified perimeter wire.

And I love your coop and run. I am also using fence pickets that I had left over for my sides. At a dollar a piece I can buy the 10 more I need to have enough....

You may want to do a search on "bears" under the predator section. i've seen some pretty scary pictures of where bears just tore right through heavy duty pens and coops. We don't have bears here - thank goodness! But you might find a lot of people in the Predators section who have dealt with them.
