tough eggs

I've run into a problem with the eggs,seems there tough to open. the inner skin is strong and will not tear to easy . the shell will break away before it will tear. thought maybe a feed problem. they get co-op layer #126,scraps and whatever is found in the chicken yard. any ideas how to solve this problem?
 
If you are accustomed to store bought eggs, this may be simply the normal difference between them. And this is usually more true of brown eggs than white. Colored eggs are white eggs with an extra layer on the outside, where the color is. The first time I bought grocery store eggs when my backyard supply slowed down too much, I smashed the first egg all over the counter. I realized I had hit it too hard, forgetting it would "give" much more easily than my own brown eggs.
