Toulouse geese should i get some

Iam thinking about getting them and can not decide. They can order them for me at the farm store. They told me they have to order 15 but i would only have to take 6 and they would sell the others. Hubby is going to build me a pole barn so i will have room for them. Are they friendly. What do you think.

Here is our one and only toulouse, "Christmas".
He goes everwhere we go and here he is supervising my hubby on a project in the barn.

He spends a lot of time in the creek right next to the barn when he's not crawling up into our laps for some lovin'.

But they can be mean as is the gander next door.

It depends on how you raise them. Chris was handled a lot! as a baby.

He is out right now supervising my hubby while he builds Chris's new pen and shelter. I'm sure it will be magnificent as hubby loves! this bird!

I usually recommend Pilgrims for first timers. But, with that said, I've never owned Toulouse and have heard nothing bad about them. They are the goose of choice for cooking cassolette.

I have 8 Toulouse geese. They are very friendly. They also are great layers. They are a very nice calm and quiet breed of geese.
