Actually after being on BYC I headed down to the duck pen to get some mold off the ground in my run(problem solved). I got carried away..so I sat on the ramp for my ducks and just waved my hand in the cold water so they could see there is water in there and that it is safe for them to go to. In more then 5 min they were splashing around in the water! I really think it was a trust issue and I just had to show them that it is more fun in the water then outside the water. Thanks everyone and sorry for taking over thread! I am sure they are swimming right now!

I use cat toys for my Dandy, she adores them, and they are super cheap. Just make sure you get the ones that are without cat nip. Not sure what that would do to a duck. Her favorites are the mylar shiny balls, and the mouse with ribbon on a stick. I lay it across the top of her kennel so that it hangs inside and she goes crazy chasing it around. I've also gotten some cheap puffy bows from the dollar store. Just make sure they aren't the ones with parts that come off easily to choke on.
