Toys for Muscovy Ducks

I once gave my ducks a ball with a bell in it but they hardly touched it!
But if you hide grubs or veggies around for them to find and forage, they'll enjoy that. Or buy some live crickets to catch. > : )

They don't need as much stimulation as chickens do. Mine brooded just fine with nothing but their food and water. I think by the time they got into their regular run, they were needing more room for sure, but other than that I don't think they were bored. Boredom is really a human idea.
Also, since it is the summer, I would just get them out into the grass where they can be in shade and protected by welded wire or a cage of some sort (temporary run). They will have loads to do then. :wee
They are in a brand new pen. It is only 8' x 7' but it is bigger than what they have been in. They have lots of grass but that won't last long. In a week or so I will try to enlarge it for daytime use. I have to be with them to let them out. We have lots of hawks and falcons in the area. I'm doing the best I can with some little creatures that just fell into my hands after their Mom was killed.

That's a great pen!
My ducks still have grass in their run - where the chickens didn't obliterate it. :)
Will you build a duck house?

I have been putting peas in a larger cake pan and adding water. Then putting it in my freezer. Then I pop it out for them in the morning. It keeps them entertained and cool while it’s so hot out. I’ve heard of people freezing cabbages too.

But as far as toys, I’ve never seen my ducks play with any toys the kids have left in the yard. Maybe a kong with some frozen peanut butter??

mine like to open the gate and escape, then going to the stream infront of our house or behind the house. Lots of frogs, weeds and alge/moss.
