I don't think muscovy are ever boring looking.
Do you have pics of the ducklings? Posted in another thread maybe?
Those rugged ranch runs are great. Tractor supply sells them too - sometimes they are on sale.
As far as your little ones not using the house, it looks like a nice hiding spot, but maybe they don't feel like they need it since you have a tarp over the run.
Mine put themselves to bed in their playhouse for a bit, until they got older. Now, I have to herd them in every night. They would prefer to be outside. I prefer they stay alive and safe from predators - as my run is not as secure as yours.

Here is a picture from July 7th. They have grown so much in the last 4 days. Have feathers underneath now too. Yes, I got my Rugged Ranch pen from Tractor Trailer Supply - and the canvas top. It was funny that I said the ducks never use the little house earlier because I saw at least one inside after that comment. I plan to create a little more of an open run for them in the following week but will have to stay outside with them to keep them safe. Eventually, I plan to open one whole section of my backyard to them but I have to fence it off to keep my dogs out.

I agree with you - better to keep them alive and safe.

When they first came I posted pics to get help, but they have changed so much.
This is what Waldo still does if I have anything in my hand.

In the other pics he is standing outside the white dish tub. That is only a week apart!
