Toys for the hens?

Your girls sound EXACTLY like mine in their eating preferences.

Mine also love spinach. I buy it in bunches and cut off the leaves for our salads, and then rough chop up the stems and put those out in their treat bowl. It's gone in an hour. They also love parsley and cilantro just as much so in the summer I plant those in the garden and they beeline right for them when I let them out. Give those a try. Some markets will give you their old spinach that is past it's prime but is still in good form for hens.

Well being fairly new to chicken raising ourselves I have noted they arent too bored here. I found out like someone said before chicken soccer kinda. It started with feeding them a grape. It was pretty funny to watch them running around fighting one another for a piece. And no they wont share the same equal amounts. Its like they finish their count and aim to get the rest's count lol. I was wondering why they would run around a lot. It was that. They got excited and it was a healthy treat

. Hm we do tether food sometimes but they do that stare of like what are ya feeding me, what is this new food lol. I might try the cabbage one myself lol.

Mrs. Army has been feeding them spinach and popcorn. Today she put some raisin bran in a plastic-bottle-with-holes and they have been having a wild time :)
