can ducks have toys to play with in the brooder? indian runner ducks... i heard they are more playful than other breeds of duck so what toys should they have in the brooder?

my runners practically had a toys r us in their brooder, lol.

They had several bird toys including bells, mirrors, a disco ball, ones with rings, and i got them a Wiggalee worm, which is the only toy made for ducks. (you can get one at www.thegoosesmother.com)

I also inmprovised toys... I put in stuffed animals for comfort, including a puppet. I'd put hand warmers inside the puppet and they would snuggle up to it or stand on it. I've also used feather dusters. If supervised, you can let them play with the handle of a plastic bag, but you have to watch them so they don't eat it, lol.

they also seem to love velcro sewed to anything big enough so they don't swallow it.
