Tracks. What are these?

Rained yesterday and here we are with tracks. Would love if someone could help identify them. I am in California. To me, it looks like two different animals. These were not here yesterday. Nothing attempted to get into the coop (which would be impossible anyways).

Lots of bobcats, deer, elk, and sometimes there are a few mountain lion spottings. I am pretty sure the first picture/first type of track is a bobcat. Just not sure about the tracks in picture 2. Never seen anything like that.

Edited to add: We also have quite a few coyotes.

coyote, and all you have to do is go to the barber shop and get some hair clippings. Cut them 1/4" or less and put out on the edgesof property.
Okay, yeah, that would totally make sense. I forgot to add that I hear coyotes a lot, including yesterday.

I am not too worried about them coming close. The coop is fully predator proof. I just was curious what was brave enough to come so close. Seems like coyotes could jump fences pretty well too.

I agree w/coyote. They climb as well as jump. And they are beyond bold in coming close, although they are usually wary enough to run at the first sign of aggression - in the case of one I saw last spring, making eye contact and taking a step in its direction sent it off in a hurry.

Like you, my coop is pred proof (maybe not against bears or a really detemined mountain lion) and is closed up at night.

:welcome :frow again. I saw your new member post. My suggestion would be to put up a camera because whatever is making the tracks is sure to be back and then you will know for sure what is lurking.I love my cameras and hardly a night goes by when they roam here that I don't see a predator on at least one of my cameras. Last nigt it was a coyote on one camera and a fox on a couple of the other cameras. Good luck...
