Tractor supply ASIAN chicks

I bought eight black asian chicks from TSC that are about 2 months old now.  Most are solid black with the beautiful sheen, one has reddish brown mixed around the neck and several of them have white wing tips.  The solid black ones look just like BSL but a few of them have white wing tips.  Would they be Australorp with the white wing tips or do some asians have it too?

White tips are common with black plumage, I don't think you can pin down any specific heritage from them.

I bought them from TSC, no clue on heritage or anything. The box was marked Asian chicks. Some are solid black but a few have white tips.

I bought 3 Asian chicks and they are black with red/brown. I think they're pretty and seem to be pretty friendly so far.

I'm thinking TSC is marketing the black sex links as Asians to get by with mixing roos in. If this is the case the male's will look like barred rocks and girls will be black with red mixed in around neck and on chest

Mine are all black except one, that is black with brown/red one her neck. Other than that, they look just like BSL.

I was told this one was a roo when I posted their pics here at 5 to 6 weeks old. At 10 weeks old, I am hoping the roos are actually hens because I have none that look barred rock. Any idea regarding this one's gender?

That looks like a pullet. BSL females are red n black, but from my understanding Asians are too. The Asians I've seen on hatchery sites do have more red than most sex links I see tho. But I do have one black sex link that has a lot of red in her chest. The all black with white wing tips resemble Australorps. Either way, all 3 of the breeds seem to be great birds. I don't own any Asians but have BSL and Australorp. My BSL girls are first to greet me and eat from my hands. My Australorp is shyer but a beautiful friendly girl. All great layers.

The older mine have gotten, the friendlier. My ISA browns used to be the first ones to come and see me, but now the Asians are beating them to it. The Wyandotte is skittish though and not very friendly. My EEs are a mixed bag. I have one that is flighty, one that is sweet but shy, one that is shy and not that friendly, but has adorable cheeks, and one that loves to sit on my lap and follows me around the yard like a dog. I also have two 9 week old RIRs. The male is afraid of his own shadow and the female likes to bite you if you put your hand anywhere near her. She looks at you when she does it, just watching your reaction. I think she is female anyhow. She has a smaller comb than her brother. So are these your first chickens? They are mine and I am not sure what I have gotten myself into LOL
