Tractor Supply Co Chicken Swap Georgia

I personally use a cat carrier simply for ease of transport. A box with straw or hay or something would be sufficient i am sure for that distance.

GDOA just shut down the event. Said that anyone participating would have to have all of their animals tested prior to bringing them and have all documentation of the tests. We were also told that we would need a special event permit to be allowed to have an event involving small livestock and poultry on our property. Sorry guys we were so close. Now i see why these events are becoming so few and far between.

I have a cat carrier but was concerned about them needing warmth.
If you get very small chicks and the carrier is small enough for someone to hold on their lap the human warmth from the lap would help keep them warm and the heater in the car.

How young of chicks are you wanting to get?

That's sad. My last flock I had dome came from a meet in the parking lot of TSC and there wasn't any permits & stuff. They had all different kinds of livestock. The only thing I didn't see was horses, llamas & ostriches. But just about everything In between chickens full grown, pullets, chicks, turkey, rabbits, etc...
I don't understand. Is it because they aren't getting anything from it? Or what.
