if i buy chickens from tractor supply around this time of year are they $2.18 per chick or am i paying 4 like 6 or so?

because they dont have both male and female 1's 4 sale so i thought geting straight run was better because u get both if it is possible

That is what I was thinking.
The roosters crow, and they don't just crow in the morning sometimes they even crow in the middle of the night. If you live in town or a subdivision or even in the country in an area with covenents there maybe "laws" prohibiting roosters. Also if you only have a few hens and a few roos the roos will likely overbreed the hens and sometimes (none of mine yet) roos can get overly protective and start attacking people that enter their territory. I have roos and like them, but they're not for everybody.
