Tractor Supply Company?

You can order ducklings from metzer farms, as few as 2, and they will sex them for a little bit more. Worth it if you are drake heavy!! (like I am!)

Do you have to preorder from TSC, or do they have a variety of chicks and Ducklings present in the store? Is there a minimum that you have to get from TSC?

My parents were in TSC several years ago buying dog items. They had the ducklings in and one was holding its head way over to the right. No one thought it would live so they convinced my parents to take it for free. They named the duck Jack ...until she laid an egg. She lived 5 or 6 years wandering around the property.

I bought my first chicks from TSC last year and they came in as straight run. I purchased 12 and ended up with 8 cockerels. Good thing I bought 12, huh?!?!

Each TSC is different however, so you might want to check with the one you have there locally. They may even place a special order for you.

Ours does have order forms you can use and the hatchery will send the chicks/ducks straight to your house. They will also get them in at the store that you can purchase. As for the minimum, that depends on where you live and what the rules are there. When buying chicks here at our TSC, you have to purchase a minimum of 6 because that is the standard set by the SPCA/humane society.

We missed the chicks, but got 3 ducklings from TSC last May 18th. I thought we had 2 Muscovies and a Mallard for the longest time. It turned out the two were Black Swedish...we got a male and female and the third was a Mallard, but turned out to be a boy too, so we rehomed him. With the black swedish, we picked two that looked alike in coloring, but had different colored feet and the girl was a bit smaller.

This might not be any help to you becuase my Tractor Supply company stopped getting chicks and ducklings. All they do is hand you a booklet from a hatery.

They are usually 2 or 3 weeks when they are at my feed dealers. he orders them from MurryMcMurry so I don't know if its any help

A few years ago my TSC stopped getting them in at their store because of the bird flu scare. But last year they started having them at the store again. I asked Saturday and my store should be getting them in about a month. They said rabbits in about 2 weeks and chicks about 2 weeks after that. I do love playing with the ducks lol
