I called TS corporate and they said all of their chicks are coming from Hoover hatchery.

Huh, off topic, but that’s funny. I bought chicks a month or so ago and was given a Townline Hatchery flyer that had an invoice of what kind of chicks that TSC had gotten from them.

No idea. This was back when they first started the chick days this year, so they might’ve switched back to Hoover’s.

Has anyone ever had a yellow legged mix lay a green or blue egg?

Yes. Here are some of my current layers as chicks last year. The light chick in this photo is Peaches, a prairie bluebell egger. She lays a blue egg.

This red one is Sammy, my Whiting True Green, who lays green/light olive.

And the dark chick crouched down in this photo is Saffie, a Whiting True Blue who lays the bluest eggs I get.
