Tractor Supply got me again

Someone else mentioned they could be Runners or a Runner mix. I can't wait til they feather out. They are just now getting their pin feathers. They are so cute. They have this look like they just got out of bed and have spiky uncombed hair.

They are three weeks old now. They are starting to make that funny sound like they are trying to quack. I love watching the chicks and ducks grow up.

I did the second thing but in one year haha
Now I have 3 ducks and 6 chicks. My ducks are penkin. I have been looking for some different breeds to add color to my flock

This is our Cayuga baby from this year and shes black, black bill and light patch on chest.

This above picture shows the little brown one in front is a Khaki campbell baby we had last year, you can tell the bill is lighter and its a chocolate brown.

I really suspect you have a Cayuga and not a Khaki campbell little one. Just a thought. Hope this helps.

As you can see, I also was bit by the bird bug at tractor supply... people were posting too many cute pics and I couldn't resist when I went in to buy feed. They only had pekins. At least I didn't come out with more than 2!!

Yeah my first ever ducklings came from that happening to me too. I went to buy feed and saw their little bills, the chicks were easy to pass over because we had already ordered some online, but those little bills! I dragged my husband back there that night and convinced him to let me get two......by the next week, I went and got three more and that time I did not ask permission just forgiveness after. This year the only thing that stopped me doing that same thing again, was him telling me he would let me get a few since we lost one of our ducks recently and so I knew I already had some picked out and being held by farm in area. It is so hard this time of year not to get new babies!
