So do I have to wait until they are full adult size or just once they are feathered out and matured?

I bought some "Marans" from TSC yesterday that look exactly like your little chicks. I was also hoping to add dark chocolate brown eggs to my basket. Interested to see pictures of your marans as they develop. The adult birds pictured with the chicks did not match the features of a black marans, so I thought I was buying something different. TSC fools me every time, lol.
