After losing a majority of the flock in November 2020 due to my late carnivorous dog breaking into the coop, I’ve finally decided to get some more chickens now that the only dog left is a 17 year old blind poodle.

I‘m pretty sure the two reddish brown guys are D’uccles. I think the whites are porcelains? All are around 3 1/2 weeks old. The little silver/blue ones (that are literally the size of a small adult mouse) are almost a week. I know it’s early to ID, but any clue is better than none. Oh, and everybody’s a bantam.

(Excuse the coop, it’s early and everyone’s still eating… :p)

Pics 1 and 3 are mille fleur D'Uccles.

Pic 2 looks like a white Cochin

Pic 4 is either a porcelain D'Uccle or maybe a white booted bantam.

Pic 5 I believe the two white/gray ones are light Brahmas. Behind them is some type of barred bird. If it has feathered legs, then a barred Cochin. If it has clean white legs, then maybe a cuckoo old English game bantam.

They’re actually a barred rock pullet according to the bin.

That‘s so crazy how the two whites are different kinds considering they looked identical at first lol. The one in pic 2 has some beautiful feathering on the legs- but they’re so wiggly getting a decent picture is a nightmare.

Thank you!

Over two weeks later and predictions held true… except I’m still not sure what Number 4 (Nosey Rosy) is.

Everyone looks great so far with no early crowers as of yet.

Have some pics of Rosy with Sunny (Cochin) and Squash (D’Uccle) as flavor!
