It is a pellet in the description. I have a local feed store to visit as well in the near future. If not a pellet then mine would be the same about it. By the picture though that uncracked corn would be a total waste.
Yeah I like higher protein cause mine free range so it somewhat dilutes their protein levels when they don’t eat as much feed. Plus it’s better for the chicks and roosters I have haha and they seem to molt faster too!!I feed Flockraiser for the additional protein. When it's so hot they don't eat much so the higher protein helps. Also their poop doesn't smell, whereas the layer was pretty bad. I think there is less soy. Even I digest their eggs easier so it's a win-win, no winds
haven’t noticed a difference in smell though LOL but I have a lot of chickens plus quail. Two of the layer feeds I used to buy were soy free which I loved and they were slightly higher protein (18% instead of 16%) but I don’t think the Flockraiser or other one is soy free sadly. 
the other one is like 22 or 23 percent protein though lol I forget what flockraiser is.
