She is using the secondary roost/board it seems. Right above the nest boxes with golf balls in them.

Think the 12 x 12” milk crates too small for her?

She is laying on the board above the nests. Better than under 😉

Crates seem small for her, not quite 12 x 12”, prob too small watching her behave and lay.

Nice thick shell, happy chicken keeper.

Multiple layers now. All perfect little Eggs.

I want them craving pellets, so minimal treats. Every other day they get something good. At the moment alternating meal worms and blueberries. Not a lot, took three months to use a 10oz bag of worms for 8 birds.

They love the blueberries and it seems to be very good for them. Maybe 3 or 4 berries each at a time, most aggressive girls get a few more. Nice blue poops lol

Cluck and co organic for now, grit and oyster shell available. Water changed daily. Poop cleaning daily.

Thanks for checking in 👋✌️👣

Echoing this - the *minimum* slope from any roofing mfg I am aware of for shingle or metal roofing is 3:12. GAF says you can go less, using specialized materials, including an elastomeric self-stick underlayment and the like (which adds expense). Otherwise, its basically hot mopping asphalt and throwing a bunch of granulated stone at it like a modified bitumen flat roof design like you see on commercial buildings. For cost and effort, I'd come up to 3:12 and metal roof it.
i design roof trusses and recently had a house built with a 2 pitch roof. Anything less than 3 pitch is recommended to go with standing seam metal roofing or a membrane. For something like a chicken coop though, any type of metal roofing (as long as the fasteners are placed on the high parts not the low parts of the roof) would be totally fine.

It’s a poultry party back here today. Wild turkey mom and pullets on the big roost. And my girls doing their thing. Actually got 5 eggs yesterday, pretty happy about that.

Thanks for checking in, and have a great weekend
