Is it possible to build an inexpensive quail tractor? I love the idea of scaling down a chicken tractor. No idea what sort of preds are in this area, though.

rabbit cages work very well for coturnix. Space saving too.....

I know they do, but they're expensive. I was hoping to find something cheap to build. My husband has been out of work since September and I haven't found ANY rabbit hutches for under 50 dollars each on CL.

One thing you might want to keep in mind is that quail will dig holes in the ground around the edges of your tractor. So you would need it to have an apron of wire either on the inside or outside to keep them from burrowing out. It also would need to be heavy enough that a large animal wouldn't be able to knock it around or tip it over.
