I change the paper out everyday in the chicks brooder. Today I decided to to put the pine shavings in the brooder. I chased all of the little chickies to one end and rolled the paper up (with chicks constantly running my way) into a ball and put the ball into the trash can. Two hours later I take the trash can to the dumpster and I decided to unroll the paper just to be sure there wasnt something in there that wasnt supposed to be in there. There was, a black sex-link. She cheep cheeped alot in the dumpster. So I went to the warehouse and got one of the six foot step ladders out and climbed into the dumpster and retrieved her. She cheep cheeped all the way back to the garage and I put her back into the brooder. Whew. Its hard to get a count on 20 chicks when they are all moving around.
