Thank you for the well wishes from the rest of you. My grandmother lived long enough to see the birds settle in and was just as enamored as Virginia and I.

A happy epilogue to this thread

Virginia and I welcomed a new addition to our flock: as of this writing an Ayam Cemani chick hatched and has been chirping for two hours and doing the new born chick stand and flop. A second Cemani egg has pipped and hopefully should hatch soon.

Last weekend was rough, but I think this weekend should be quite a bit better as we welcome new birds to our flock.

Thanks again for your feedback and well wishes. I’ve never been a part of a forum with such supportive and good natured people.
