Training my city chickens

I decided to see if I could train my city chickens because I wanted to keep my rooster, Sage. I have manged to train them and to keep him. I'm still adding new tricks and skills.

she was giving them worms.. i think probably the kind from the pet store.

Amazing.
My daughter had a chicken trained to actually jump through a hula hoop and up on her shoulder. she didn the reinforcement with the treat can too. She was a real hoot at the local talent show.

I'll have to show her this. Maybe we can do the bells this year. Thanks.

Thanks for those who gave positive feedback. I gave them mealworms. It's an interesting phenomenon; they actually get responsive and, as animals trainers have written, you can noticeably see their enthusiasm and heightened attentiveness overall after training them, not just when they're doing the tricks.
