I am in FFA and I have a show coming up in a few months, I need to train my rooster Koa to stay still, I have trained him before and it works to varying success. I just pose him, posing to getting an animal to stay still in any specific pose. Any ideas on how to train him to stay still?

Mine acts like a dog🤣 so my solution is train him like a dog. Have treats with you. I've taught my silkie to come when called. My rooster, If i say jump and point to a spit i know he can stand on he jumps up there. I havent taught them to stay still but they only stayed still for me when there in a unfamiliar place. Maybe put some treats in a spot and after hes done eating them dont show him more just see if he stays there. From my experience it takes some time for teaching them.

That's exactly what I do, thx for the info! It will take some time tho but I am a committed person tho

I've never trained a chicken before, but I would do something like Annalyse is doing. Lure him up on something small, like a 12 " 2 x 4 nailed onto your flat surface and then give him treats. That way he won't really have much room to move around while you are interacting with him. If he gets off don't treat him again until he gets back in his spot. Hopefully that will teach him to stay in one place.
