Trampled?

I have a week old broiler that was fine last night and this morning appears limp and like it's been trampled. He does not appear to be blocked. Out of 26 chicks this is the only one apparently sick. Last night they all appeared healthy. We've had them since 2/3 and have had no issues. Temperature maintaining 93-95° and none are huddled under the lamps.

Second batch of chicks but first time broilers. Shipped in from Freedom Hatchery all alive and healthy.

What does your brooder look like? Are there square corners where chicks could get smashed due to crowding? We rounded out the corners of our square brooder last year because we had a few of our meat chicks trample each other.

It is square so I guess that's probable. We've isolated the one but is there any chance of a recovery?

Of course it's always possible. Would you post a picture?
Do you have any nutridrench or save a chick?

I haven't even heard of those. Is it something I can get at a Co-op or TSC? I'm on my way out now to block the corners so I'll get a few pictures.

Use a thermometer inside the box since the chick cannot escape the heat. I would reduce heat to 90 or less. Are they outside in a coop or inside you house? A tsp of sugar in a cup of tepid water and the tiniest pinch of salt can be good to use until you get the NutriDrench today.

We do have a thermometer probe inside. Unfortunately the chick died before I could even leave for the store. They are in a brooder box in the barn. The box is big enough that if they want to escape the heat there are other areas in the box to get away from it.
