Transgender duck??

I have a duck (Ainsley - a Welsh Harlequin) who was born a female, laying eggs and perfectly happy. She suddenly stopped laying eggs and went through a moult, where she developed drake colouring and a curly tail feather. She does not lay eggs anymore, but still has a loud quack. I was wondering if she could possibly be transitioning (if at all possible in ducks??). Any help or shared experiences would be much appreciated. Below are before and after photos.

Sounds like her ovary has stopped working so she has a hormone imbalance.

is there anything I can do to help her? Or does that mean she is transitioning? Sorry, I’ve never had anything like this happen before

Vet maybe can advise but I doubt there is much can be done. I wouldn’t want to put my female on hormone replacement.

Ive heard of it happening before. If He/She is seeming to do fine id just let Him/Her be. You have a very pretty duck that id be sad to get rid of even if it was transgender.

Just because it’s ovary isn’t working and it has more testosterone that estrogen don’t mean it’s transgender. It didn’t go an get the works to make the change.
